Welcome Ohio Region 8 Judges!

We're so glad you've decided to participate in History Day this year. A few things to keep in mind as you register.

1) Training is from 8am - 9am. Please plan accordingly so you can park, get breakfast and be ready for tranining at 8am.

2) First round judging is from approximatley 9am to 1pm. Second round judging is from approximately Noon to 3pm.

3) Judges who are assigned to Papers, Documentaries and Websites will receive the projects via email (Papers as an attachment and Documentaries and Websites as a link) at least a week in advance. We are also going to attempt to provide the documentaries via weblinks in advance to judges.

4) All judges will receive breakfast, training and lunch.

5) Details about the event (parking, schedule, ajudging assignment, etc) will be emailed closer to the contest date.

We also have a new option which is to be a roaming judge. Sometimes judges are unexpectadley unavailable the day of the event. If we are lucky enough to have "extra judges" we will assign some judges to be roaming or substitute judges. These judges will recieve their assignments the day of the contest, usually at the end of orientation after judge check-in has closed and we know who we are missing.

Check out the Ohio Region 8 webpage for judging information and resources to help you prepare. http://www.cincymuseum.org/content/ohio-history-day
